1969 was the benchmark year for the Ford Mustang brand when it came to performance variants and engine packages. There was the Boss 302 & 429 and the Shelby GT350 & GT500 Mustangs. Plus, new to the market came the Mustang Mach 1. The Mach 1 would serve its time in Ford showrooms from 1969 to 1978, quite a long lineage for the performance variant. Later in 2003 and 2004 the Mach 1 would return with Art Hyde and Scott Hoag at the helm of the new Edge Mach 1. For 2019 at the Ford Nationals we plan to honor the Mach 1 and its heritage within Ford. There will be a special showfield display tent for these unique cars as well as an indoor display with a car from each generation being represented. There is also more to be announced as we get closer to the event. How can you and your Mach 1 participate? Easy! Register for the outdoor showfield or apply for the indoor special display using the links below! You will not want to miss the 50th birthday of the Mach 1!

It's been 50 years - January 15, 1969 to be exact, since the first Boss rolled off the line ushering in a new era of Ford performance. The first one rolled out of Kar Kraft in Michigan as a 1969 Boss 429 Mustang. Over the next couple years Ford would set new standards in the muscle car movement not only with the Boss 429 but also the Boss 302 and Boss 351. Fast forward to 2012 and Ford revived the Boss 302 nameplate for two years as part of Ford's new "road runner" engine equipped Mustangs along with a slew of other performance and aero add-ons.
Now, as part of the 2019 edition of the Carlisle Ford Nationals we intend to honor 50th anniversary by celebrating all things Boss! From the Cougars to Mustangs (old and new) that came equipped with the Boss nameplate to the dozens of swaps that have been done over the years. We will have a special display in Building T as well as a seminar or two on the Boss. There will also be a special area for Boss equipped vehicles to park on the Showfield. We are also working with M2 Machines to do a special 50th Anniversary Boss Mustang die cast as tribute to this historic milestone. We'll have more info coming soon on that. We hope to see you at the 2019 event as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of this iconic engine and the set of cars that came to be! Register today using the links below, you do not want to miss this one!

Spoilers held it down, but nothing holds it back! Join us for the 2019 edition of the Carlisle Ford Nationals as one of the most hardcore high performance Cougar growls into the Carlisle Fairgrounds. This year at the Carlisle Ford Nationals we will be celebrating the short-lived Cougar Eliminator with a special showcase in Building T.
In 1969 the Eliminator performance package appeared for the first time in a Mercury Cougar. A 351 cu in (5.8 L) four-barrel Windsor V8 was standard, with the 390 four-barrel V8, the 428CJ and the Boss 302 available as options. The Eliminator also featured a blacked-out grille, special side stripes, front and rear spoilers, an optional Ram Air induction system, a full gauge package including tachometer, upgraded "Decor" interior trim, special high-back bucket seats, rally wheels, raised white letter tires and a performance-tuned suspension and handling package. It also came in vibrant colors, such as white, bright blue metallic, competition orange, and bright yellow.
Fast forward to 1970 where the Eliminator received new striping, revised colors and the four-barrel 351 Cleveland, which replaced the four-barrel 351 Windsor as the standard engine. The upgraded "décor" interior and styled steel wheels, standard '69 Eliminator equipment, were moved to the options list for the 1970 Eliminator.
Do you have an Eliminator that you would like showcased? Apply for the Featured Display! Can't stay all weekend but want to be a part of it? Register today in the Cougar class for your Eliminator!

Celebrate not only the Foxbody but also the Fox Platform as a Whole!

…
The third-generation Mustang, commonly known as the "Foxbody" or "Fox," came to market in 1979 after its Fox platform brothers the Fairmont and the Zephyr came to market in 1978. Ford wanted something so different from the previous Mustang II design that it enlisted the help of Ford designer Jack Telnack to create this all-new Ford Mustang. Through the years many versions of this Mustang would come to fruition such as the Indy Pace Edition, the Cobra, the Spring and Summer editions, and more. The Foxbody would end up being the longest running body style of the Mustang to date. Join us in June as we celebrate the Foxbody's historic place in time.
But wait, there's more! We will also be celebrating all-Fox platform cars as part of this historic marque. This includes Fox platform versions of the Thunderbird, Cougar, Zephyr, Continental, LTD, Capri, Granada, Fairmont, Mark VII, and Marquis. How can you join in on the action? Register for the Outdoor Showfield or apply for the Indoor Featured Vehicle Display using the links below.

When Ford came out with the GT in 2005 most thought the $150,000 price tag was an unthinkably high price. Now people would love to be able to pick on up for that, let alone the new models that go well over $400,000. With the price of these cars many of these have ended up hidden away in garages and don’t see the light of day. However at this year’s show you will be able to see a number of Ford GT’s displayed inside a tent as you come in Gate 3. These GT’s range from stock perserved cars to full blown race cars. From 2005-2006 models, to the latest and greatest new Ford GT’s. This will be a real treat to see the old and new come together for one of the first events since their release to public owners.
Have a new or old Ford GT and want to participate? We have a spot for you! To participate with your GT please email KenA@CarlisleEvents.com or call 717-243-7855 and we will get you setup!

Do you want to let thousands of enthusiasts know what you are selling in your car corral space at Carlisle? It doesn’t matter what show you’re attending, if you’ve purchased a car corral spot, we’ve got a cool opportunity for you. Carlisle Events is offering you additional FREE exposure via our social media pages (Facebook and Twitter) to promote your presence at Carlisle.
The process is simple but does come with a few rules. First, e-mail no more than four (4) photos of your car to SocialShowroom@CarlisleEvents.com. When you do, please be sure to tell us your name, vendor number, show or shows that you’ve bought car corral space for and the important details about your vehicle that you’re trying to sell. In addition, please share with us your car corral space number. If you aren’t sure of it, we’ll look it up for you. This way, when we post the photos, we can encourage guests to visit your space during the event.
Once we’ve confirmed everything matches up, we’ll post your photos. Photos will be posted only once by Carlisle Events and will ultimately end up in a photo gallery dedicated to the Social Media Showroom. Only one post per registered space though. That means if you own one car corral spot, you can share one set of photos. If you have secured two car corral spots, you can share two sets of photos, three spots/three sets of photos and so on. Again, you MUST be a registered car corral participant to take advantage of this offer and photos will be posted only on the show page related to your purchase and the general Carlisle Events Facebook page. Photos will be posted once a week in an album specific to this program and will ONLY be posted within a 14 day window prior to the show.
Thank you for your support and good luck selling your ride via the additional exposure provided by the Carlisle Events Social Media Showroom.

With paid admission campers do have 24 hour access to the bath houses located at the Carlisle Fairgrounds.
Ultimately, prices, availability and amenities vary per show. For the Carlisle Ford Nationals, camping is located off-site in the Clay Street parking area. The best way to find out complete details per show is to call Carlisle Events at 717-243-7855.

On the 7th day, we rest, right? Well, for the more than half a million guests and vendors that pass through the gates of the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, that is very much true. Considering most vendors and car owners have been on-site for days leading up to any particular show, it’s easy to understand why they’d want to head out for their long trip home. With that in mind, Carlisle Events offers “Rear View Mirror Sunday.” This is THE perfect way to spend a laid back Sunday morning at Carlisle for those who have been around the show since the start. Maybe you just want to check out a snap shot of what the full-show was all about via the 11 a.m. awards parade (specialty shows only) or you’re looking for a last minute deal via the automotive flea market or car corral. Either way, with “Rear View Mirror Sunday,” you can enjoy the final moments and aspects of what surely was an amazing weekend. Parking is FREE in any Carlisle operated parking lot on Sunday and ticket prices are reduced from the standard admission of previous days.
While Sunday might not be the best place to start your show weekend, it sure is a great way to finish, especially if you’ve already walked every mile of the grounds, tasted every bit of food from our concessionaires and talked with many of the vendors in the automotive flea market and car corral. Contact Carlisle Events today at 717-243-7855 if you want to make a full weekend of it and be part of some of the world’s largest automotive events.
