The numbers tell part of the story, but the atmosphere at Corvettes at Carlisle 2026 tells the rest.  The annual celebration of America's Sports Car returned to the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds August 27-29 and, once again, Corvette enthusiasts answered the call in record-setting fashion.  The 2026 event welcomed 3,239 registered Fun Field Corvettes, establishing a new event record and surpassing the previous mark of 3,080 vehicles set in 2023.   This total also makes this iteration of the show the 8^th largest car specific event EVER held at Carlisle dating back to when car shows started in 1982 (does not factor in Spring or Fall Carlisle).

That record-setting total was just one highlight of a weekend filled with special displays, competitions, celebrations and opportunities to appreciate the Corvette in virtually every form.  From early-generation classics to the latest C8 offerings, thousands of Corvettes filled the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds and surrounding community, creating the unmistakable sights and sounds that have become synonymous with Corvettes at Carlisle. 

Team Chevrolet also helped set the tone, with a great display of cars on the Midway and some very informative walk-arounds at the stage.  Speaking of walk-arounds, Pete Callaway of Callaway Cars also gave some time to talk about 50 years of Callaway and 40 years of their products being part of the Corvette.  Other seminar/educational gatherings included those hosted by Corvette specialist Paul Koerner and his Corvette Mechanic team, plus Steve Garrett and his Corvette Today podcast.

Among the featured displays was the Corvette American Flag, a patriotic showcase and nod to America 250 that brought Corvettes together in a visual celebration of the car, its owners and the country it represents.  The event also celebrated 50 Years of 1976 Corvettes, putting a spotlight on the unique history and styling of the 1976 model year.

Chip's Choice, always one of the most anticipated displays of the weekend, followed a family bond theme, showcasing Corvettes whose stories extend beyond the cars themselves and into the families and generations connected to them.  The NCRS Gallery and NCCC Judged Concours added additional opportunities for enthusiasts to see some of the finest and most meticulously presented Corvettes in the hobby.  In addition, there was a great Grand Sport display that showcased many fine examples, including two of the five from 1963; Chassis 001 and 004, plus 001 from 1996 and a modern era 2027.  This $40 million+ showcase was a real head-turner. 

The weekend also included a special and emotional tribute marking the 25th anniversary of 9/11.  On Friday of event weekend, retired FBI Agent and 9/11 survivor Wes Wong shared his personal story and reflections with the Corvettes at Carlisle crowd.  His moving presentation provided an important reminder of the courage, sacrifice and resilience demonstrated by first responders and Americans in the aftermath of September 11, 2001.  The audience offered Wes a much deserved standing ovation at the end.

Of course, competition remained a major part of the Corvettes at Carlisle experience.  From judged displays and Aerolarri Wheels People's Choice honors to performance-based competitions, Corvette owners had plenty of opportunities to put their cars and driving skills to the test.  King of the X, presented by Lingenfelter Performance, again brought Corvettes to the autocross course, while additional contests and club competitions added to the weekend's competitive spirit.  All-new this year, the Mr. Corvette contest presented by Appalachian Running Company and Twin Package showcase allowed owners to have some fun at the stage, both those who dress the part and embrace certain Corvette stereotypes and those who dressed to match their beloved Corvette.

Away from the Fun Field, the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation (CMAF) remained an important part of the weekend.  The annual CMAF dinner brought supporters together for an evening dedicated to raising awareness and funds in honor of Carlisle Events co-founder Chip Miller and those affected by amyloidosis.  Through the dinner and other fundraising efforts, the Corvette community continued its tradition of giving back by raising $35,000+, all of which benefits research and awareness.

The weekend celebration extended beyond the fairgrounds Saturday evening with the annual Downtown Carlisle Corvette Parade and Street Party.  A procession of 420 Corvettes made its way into downtown Carlisle, where thousands of spectators lined the streets to watch the cars roll through the community.  For many, it offered one final opportunity to see the incredible variety of Corvettes gathered in Carlisle throughout the weekend.

From a record-setting Fun Field to special displays honoring Corvette history, family, patriotism and service, Corvettes at Carlisle 2026 once again demonstrated why this event remains one of the premier Corvette gatherings in the country.  Three days of Corvettes, competition, camaraderie, charity and community made for another memorable chapter in the event's history.
