Corvettes at Carlisle Revs Up the Power in 2025 with the ZR1, Race Cars, and More

Jan 16, 2025, 15:42 PM by Mike Garland

Corvettes at Carlisle has been part of the Carlisle car show fabric since 1982 and 40+ years later, it is still THE show of shows for Corvette enthusiasts.  This year’s event, August 21-23 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds aims to once again bring the power.  When the gates open at 7 AM on Thursday the 21st, guests will have no shortage of choices.  From parts shopping to food, Corvettes that show and Corvettes that go, industry experts, and more, there really is something for everyone.  This includes displays exclusively focused on the ZR1 and Corvette race cars.

For the Race Car Reunion, the plan is to populate both the Aerolarri Wheels Fun Field and a special display tent with a showcase of high-performance machines, from classic vintage racers to modern track beasts.  In addition to seeing a curated collection of legendary race cars, guests can expect live track demonstrations, driver meet-and-greets, and interactive workshops on the history of Corvette racing and performance.  There will be no shortage of photo-ops with these legendary cars.

Not too far away from these monstrous racers will be another showcase of power; one focused on the ZR1.  Chip’s Choice, located in Building T, continues the tradition inspired by the late Corvettes at Carlisle founder, Chip Miller.  For 2025, the display will host a select handful of legendary ZR1s.  Bare witness to the textbook definition of precision engineering.  In addition, guests can chat with car owners, hear from industry experts, and get insights on the history and performance from the start to the all-new 1,064HP ZR1.

Both galleries will be vetted by Carlisle Events co-owner Lance Miller.  For the ZR1 display, 20 cars will be positioned under a tent, while the remaining cars will share space on the Fun Field in the featured vehicle area.  As Chip’s Choice in Building T goes, the total amount of ZR1s will vary, but historically, this display features at least a dozen well-qualified candidates.

The application process is now open for both displays as is registration for the Fun Field.  Spectator admission tickets are also available at a discount when purchased in advance.  Complete details on all elements of the 2025 Corvettes at Carlisle car show can be found at CarlisleEvents.com or by calling 717-243-7855.
