On Sunday, June 11, an accident on I-95 in the Philadelphia area severely damaged a portion of the interstate, specifically an overpass that's forced a time-consuming detour.  This week's All About Cars is a piece from Jalopnik that looks at the accident and highlights the traffic concerns that Philly area travelers are facing.  This same traffic trouble could affect your drive to Carlisle, directly or indirectly.  Word is, a portion of the overpass may actually open soon, if not by this weekend.  Check out the article and be sure to check in with Philly media sources like the Inquirer, or state resources like PennDot (including a live web stream of the scene) to learn more, get details on detours, etc.
