Employment
Prior to Carlisle Events, Ed was the Grants Manager for the Pennsylvania Bureau of Aviation. As Grants Manager, Ed was responsible for approximately $350 million in grants to the public use airports across the state. Before his career with the Bureau of Aviation, Ed worked as an automotive restorer and builder with an emphasis on paint and body repair, sheet metal fabrication and custom car building.
Education
Ed is a 1989 graduate of Boiling Springs High School and a 1999 graduate of Shippensburg University where he earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a Management concentration.
Personal
Ed has been married to his wife Nancy since 2000. They have two children, Ramsey and Skylar, a chocolate lab named Spenser and a stray cat named Buddy. All of their other “children” have tires, including the same car he drove in 1989 as a high school senior! Ed recently completed the construction of his “dream garage” at his residence. The 4,800 square foot facility has a paint booth, workshop and separate storage area. This will allow Ed to return to building the cars that he’s been collecting since he was 14.
Hobbies
Ed’s hobbies include almost anything related to cars and spending time with his family. As a family, they enjoy car shows, working on cars, Jeeping and have recently added autocrossing to their hobbies. Outside of cars, Ed and his family enjoy traveling, bicycling, hiking, swimming, camping and go-karting.
Dream Car
“As a true car guy, picking just one car as a dream car is nearly impossible for me. If I had to pick just one car, it would be a ’70 Hemicuda convertible. A slightly more realistic choice would be a ‘70 Plymouth Superbird.”
Favorite part of working at Carlisle Events
“The people are definitely my favorite part of the job. Every day I get to talk to everybody from celebrities to regular car guys and talking cars comes very easy to me.”
