Carlisle Performance & Style saw a 60% bump in pre-registration and everyone who came to Carlisle thoroughly enjoyed themselves this year. The weekend opened Friday with a late afternoon cruise-in and a low car limbo, plus the chance to beat the weekend rush by registering for the showfield or at least picking up materials in advance of the Saturday rush of guests.

With many ready to cruise onsite Saturday, the hobby was on full display as thousands of cars adorned the grounds. Displays included one dedicated specifically to domestic cars, another for Asian machines, European styles where showcased and so were the ladies with a display that featured cars owned, maintained and shown exclusively by females.

P&S also featured a great club atmosphere, hosted a burnout competition and beauty contest. Sunday wrapped with an awards presentation and while P&S has concluded for 2013, the event returns to Carlisle, May 10-11, 2014.

Beginning in 2013 Sunday admission will be reduced by half for all specialty shows, joining Spring and Fall Carlisle where half-price Sunday has been in effect. In addition, parking just outside of Gate 5 will be free (Sunday only).

Finally, all children age 12 and under will be admitted free at Carlisle. Enjoy great savings and fun for the entire family at Carlisle!

What is better than a two-day P&S event? How about three? That's right, Carlisle P&S has locked down some Friday night fun to help kick-off the weekend. Be onsite starting at 4 p.m. as part of our first ever P&S Cruise-In and Low-Car Limbo Event. Our showfield registration office opens at 3 p.m. and the fun starts at 4 p.m. with a P&S cruise-in. You can register for the limbo competition inside Guest Services. At 5 p.m., line up begins and starting at 7 p.m., cars from throughout the grounds will take a pass under the bar. This will be done parade style, car by car, and continue until a winner is crowned. There will be an awards presentation at 8 p.m. or just after the contest has concluded. There will also be 3 “Carlisle’s Pick” awards for those attending and showing in the Cruise-In portion of the event.

New in 2013 will see a great array of European cars showcased within Building T. These Euro cars will feature Stancers to Racers, Wheel Fanatics to Rare Euro Part Fanatics and anything in between. Our friends at JunkStyles/LowLifeStyle will be back in 2013! When at the show, take a minute and stop by their display in the European Performance Hall in Building T during event weekend! This is one group where they are all about lowering all things.

Camping is back at Carlisle Performance & Style! Tired of not being able to get into a local hotel or if you can, it is a financial burden for you? Stay onsite and enjoy the weekend to the max! Camping is limited to registered showfield participants only and has limited availability. Once spaces are gone, they are gone.

A camping space is limited too in the amount of people that can stay, just four per space. There are no exceptions to this rule! When staying onsite, you must follow the same rules that you'd follow if you were here during the day. Security and local police will be here making the rounds too, not only enforcing the laws of our land, but to also make sure you are safe and having fun. The 2013 Performance & Style Coolest Club Hangout winner was Nuthin’ Fancy and they earned it! With a tent full of fun, props that saluted our troops and more, these guys showed what having fun is all about. This is not their first win either, as they were winners in 2012 and 2011 too. In addition to the competition among the cars on the Performance and Style Showfield, there is a battle between clubs to see who has the most cars registered. As a bonus, we offer the use of a 20’ X 20’ tent to clubs who register 25 vehicles or more.

No Carlisle event would be complete without the burnout contest. “Carlisle Burnout King (or Queen)” bragging rights are up for grabs once again at Carlisle Performance and Style. Pre-registration is required at Guest Services. A show sticker (i.e. registered for vending or showfield), driver’s license and proof of insurance are required. Participants are limited to 10 vehicles and 3 minutes per burnout.

Congratulations to our 2013 winner, Chris Taber and his '77 Chevy Camaro. Also, Ken Alston received a special recognition award for his efforts during the contest.

With the lowest limbo, we’re taking a cue from the Caribbean on how we will determine the lowest car and truck of P&S in 2013!

Adrenaline Audio is Maryland’s premier car audio competition presenter and hosts certified Db Drag & Bass Race (3X), N.S.P.L. & Street Slam (3X) and IASCA (2X) competitions on Saturday and Sunday. Registration for the competitions will be handled onsite or in advance of the show at Adrenaline Audio. All audio competitors have to be registered for the judged or non-judged showfield.
