Beginning in 2013 Sunday admission will be reduced by half for all specialty shows, joining Spring and Fall Carlisle where half-price Sunday has been in effect. In addition, parking just outside of Gate 5 will be free (Sunday only).

Also, for Corvettes at Carlisle, Thursday will be branded as an early bird day and is an opportunity for anyone interested in the swap meet, car corral and midway aspects of the weekend to get a jump on their shopping brethren. This feature costs full price at the gate, but there will be no parking fees in Carlisle-owned and operated lots.

Finally, all children age 12 and under will be admitted free at Carlisle. Get a jump on the event, snag a deal and save some cash while coming to Carlisle!

Special ordered new as a paint delete car by legendary speedboat racer Bob Nordskog, this '63 Corvette was delivered straight to the King of Custom cars George Barris of Barris Kustoms. The new C2 Corvette got a radical transformation and redesign from Barris. The car was given an extended nose cone that had headlights positioned behind the bladed grille, custom headers exiting behind the front wheels, removed the split window, filled in the rear tail panel and opened up the rear wheel wells to accommodate big wheels. The paint job was out of this world and was painted in a heavy metallic copper finish that would blind you in the sunlight. This helped give the car the name "Asteroid" since it looked like it was on fire and moving at 1000 mph sitting still!

The interior design was just as wild. It was finished in a pearl white Naughahyde complimented with copper accents to match the exterior paint. This Corvette was built with dual personalities and was as fierce at the car shows as it was racing down the quarter mile. It was powered by a 352 cubic inch motor with 13:1 compression and fed through six chrome Stromburg 97 carburetors. Everything under the hood was either painted gold metallic or chrome plated and was the topper for an already over-the-top car.

You've got to see this one to believe it and see it you will at Carlisle in August.

You know by now that the Chip's Choice display in 2013 will feature '63 '63s. Many are available to review on Facebook right now. As part of this display, you can see the one and only Corvette Rodine concept car. This car was built for the Paris Auto Show and since its birth until at least 2008, was on display at the Pininfarina Museum in Italy. At that point, the car was sold at the famed Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale (Arizona) auto auction. What really makes this car special is that it is the ONLY steel-bodied Corvette ever created. In addition, the car is based on the '63 Corvette chassis and has a 327cid/360-hp V8 under the hood. See it at Carlisle this August!

You drive and show your car with pride, but what is really under the hood? Join FLY Performance Innovations from Jefferson, Ohio during event weekend and experience their mobile dyno service. FLY utilizes a DynoJet 223xLC with a load controller.

The machine can handle any Corvette and is capable of telling you what type of horsepower and torque you have under the hood. Not only will you get to see for yourself what this dyno can do, you can watch the results and data unfold in front of you via a large screen TV. When it's all said and done with, you'll get a printout of the readings too.

Celebrity Choice Award selections will take place on Saturday. All Corvettes registered for the Corvettes at Carlisle Fun Field, sponsored by Corvette America are eligible to be selected as a celebrity choice. The Award Parade will be held on Sunday Aug 25th at the Carlisle Stage. If your car is chosen as a "choice," the Celebrity will place a sticker on your windshield. During the parade, your name will be announced as you pull up to the stage to receive the award from the Miller Family. The parade is a great photo-op for family and friends and it is a true honor to be selected by the some of the biggest names in the Corvette world! Carlisle Events will be taking pictures of each car that is chosen as a Celebrity Choice winner as it drives through the parade. The only thing better than a show-ready Corvette is a show-ready Corvette on the race track! Test your Corvette on the Corvettes at the Carlisle onsite Autocross course. The autocross allows experienced drivers to put their driving skills and their Corvette’s performance to the test while also allowing beginners to learn more about the sport of autocross. Novice drivers will have the opportunity to learn from instructors and sharpen their skills with in-car instruction. Sponsored by Cumberland Valley Corvette Club, the fee for an autocross session is $20 for 1 hour. Each driver will get three or four chances to run the course. (Friday and Sunday Only)

We certainly have not forgotten about our female Corvette enthusiasts; the Women’s Oasis is an area devoted entirely to you! Whether you are a Corvette owner looking to do some souvenir shopping, a wife, mom or daughter along for the ride, the Women’s Oasis tent located on the Manufacturer’s Midway is your opportunity to shop and enjoy activities throughout the weekend. Spend some time shopping with our amazing vendors selling items from jewelry to handmade crafts and beauty products. Relax with a massage or enjoy a sample flavor from our featured winery. The Women’s Oasis plays host to activities throughout the weekend including seminars, workshops and free prize bingo.

In addition, we also offer off-site excursions for those who wish to take a break from the show and do some exploring! The NCRS Gallery's Purpose is to present an ever-changing unique Corvette collection in a true gallery exhibit format. This enables non-NCRS members to have a better understanding of the National Corvette Restorers Society and the group’s goals and purposes. The collection is made up of 22 Corvettes. One Corvette will represent each of the 17 NCRS Judging Classes, along with a Duntov Mark of Excellence Award® winner, a McLellan Mark of Excellence Award® winner, an NCRS-Chevrolet Bowtie Award® recipient for Preservation Excellence, an American Heritage Award® recipient, and a Sportsman Award® Corvette. Be sure not to miss this phenomenal display!

• National Corvette Restorers Society

Lance Miller and Corvettes at Carlisle invites you and your Corvette to be part of our 1963 Corvette Reunion. The special gathering of 1963 Corvettes will be assembled to celebrate 50 years of Corvette production, and will be held in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on August 23-25, 2013.

Be one of the first sixty-three 1963 Corvette owners to accept the invitation and your Corvette will be placed under a special display tent and you will receive a limited production recognition award for participating in the 1963 Corvette Reunion. All 1963 Corvettes, no matter their condition, are welcome to attend. Each Corvette will need to arrive at the fairgrounds on Thursday, August 22, and remain in the display until noon on Sunday, August 25.

To be part of this historical display, please complete the online application via the link below. You will then receive an email confirming receipt and approval of your application. A confirmation packet, which will include two complimentary weekend passes to the show will be sent the third week in July. The NCCC Concurs Judged Showfield awards cash prizes to the “Best of Show” winner as well as five other categories. Carlisle residents come out en mass to watch this annual parade in the heart of the downtown historic district presented by the Downtown Carlisle Association. Corvettes parade from the fairgrounds to downtown Carlisle where they park in the area around the town square and have time to enjoy the downtown ambiance and many restaurants. It’s a huge street party - complete with a band – that you’ll want to make part of your Carlisle experience.

Participation in the parade is limited so be sure to take advantage of this first-ever chance to pre-register and save $5 too!

G. Gordon Liddy is many things to many people, especially in the world of politics. No matter your view of the man from a political standpoint, there is one thing he likes that you do too; the Corvette. Liddy and his C4 Lingenfelter ZR-1 will be at Carlisle in 2013. Not only will he enjoy the weekend as an enthusiast just like you, he'll be in the ZR-1 area all weekend, plus serve as a Celebrity Judge.

The Miss Corvettes at Carlisle contest takes place on Saturday afternoon on the Carlisle Stage. Contestants will answer questions about why they love America’s sports car and why they should be Miss Corvettes at Carlisle. Miss Corvettes at Carlisle contestants compete for cash prizes. Ladies can register at Guest Services by the stage Friday and Saturday prior to the event. Participation is limited to 15 contestants.

No Carlisle event would be complete without the burnout contest. “Carlisle King (or Queen) of the Hill” bragging rights are up for grabs at Corvettes at Carlisle. Pre-registration is required at Guest Services. A show sticker (i.e. registered for vending or funfield), driver’s license and proof of insurance are required. Limited to 15 vehicles, 3 minutes each.

Participants are encouraged to pre-register in order to be eligible for an exclusive t-shirt (only 15 available). The winner of the 2013 Burnout Contest will win bragging rights, Burnout trophy and a FREE funfield pass for 2014!
