2009 Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals: July 10-12 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds
A Mopar Lover’s Paradise: Featuring Power, Giveaways, Drag Racing Stars and Fun for the Entire Family
Tuesday, June 30, 2009
The Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals, July 10-12, will be a Mopar-lover’s paradise with attendees converging on the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds from all over the world for one of the largest All-Chrysler shows in the world. This weekend-long event crosses all eras of the Chrysler brand, from classic to muscle and everything in between. Over 2,200 cars are expected to blanket the Carlisle Showfield.
Many of the 2,200 cars at the All-Chrysler Nationals will be taking part in special displays and reunions. One of the special reunions will feature one of the largest gatherings of A12 factory Road Runners and Super Bees ever to be assembled. 2009 will mark the third year that Carlisle will transform Building G, located at Gate 1, into the retro dealership, this year housing 1969 Mopars.
In addition to the special displays and reunions, the All-Chrysler Nationals will welcome back some of the biggest names in drag racing as special guests. “Big Daddy” Don Garlits, considered by many to be the patriarch of Top-Fuel drag racing for having developed the first successful rear-engine dragster, will be on-hand all weekend with MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust, to meet with fans and sign autographs. Garlits will be joined by many other well-known drag racers; including Bill Stiles, Don Grotheer and the Ramchargers Team.
If “Big Daddy” and A12 factory race cars are not enough horsepower, Carlisle is also teaming up with Mopar Muscle magazine and Muscle Motors to give away a 490-cubic inch, big-block Stroker engine pushing out over 500 horsepower on Sunday afternoon following the awards parade. This year’s All-Chrysler car giveaway will be a convertible 1969 Plymouth Fury III. One lucky attend will be announced as the winner of the giveaway Fury at 7 P.M. on Saturday night, following the famous Carlisle Burnout and Beauty contests.
The weekend will also be filled with activities for the entire Mopar loving family with Kids at Carlisle and Women’s Oasis activities happening throughout the weekend. New this year for the Women’s Oasis will be cooking demonstrations from the Kitchen Shoppe of Carlisle. Chef Amber Clay will have mouths watering, as she creates great tasting dishes that are simple and easy to prepare.
