Two Camaro Concepts that Shined as the Stars of SEMA at the Carlisle All-GM Nationals
Carlisle All-GM Nationals: June 26-28 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds
Monday, June 08, 2009
The Carlisle All-GM Nationals, held June 26-28th at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, is an event that celebrates the history and future of vehicles produced by General Motors and the enthusiasm for these vehicles among people in the automotive hobby. The All-GM Nationals – National Parts Depot Showfield will be filled with top-quality restored classics, original muscle cars and modified high performance new models. This year’s event will play host to two Camaro Concept Cars that shined the brightest as the stars of SEMA.
GM and Chevrolet first introduced these custom 2010 Camaros at the 2008 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show. The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. Two of these awesome Camaros that embody Camaro racing history, design and endless customization possibilities will be part of the celebration of this year’s release of the new generation of Camaro.
CAMARO LS7 CONCEPT:
The Camaro LS7 concept was designed to celebrate the illustrious drag racing history of Camaros made famous by dealers like Don Yenko and Fred Gibb in the late ‘60s. The Camaro LS7 Concept combines the power of a GM Performance Parts’ LS7 crate engine with targeted bolt-on track ready upgrades. Backing the LS7 engine is a production Tremec 6060 six-speed manual with a GM Performance Parts Hurst shifter.
CAMARO BLACK CONCEPT:
Modern Muscle is a term used in the tuner aspect of the automotive hobby to describe new generation American muscle cars that have been customized from the inside out. This “blacked-out” Camaro not only fits that bill, the Camaro Black Concept takes modern muscle to a new stealth-like level. From the black paint and the matte black-finished hood to the 21-inch alloy wheels, the tinted RS tail lamps, the darker grille finish and the color-matched exterior badging, the Camaro Black Concept’s looks are eerily similar to the recently retired F-117 Nighthawk fighter jet.
